ROAD TRIP USA – East to West
Route66, National Parks & California
1 Dream. 2 People. 1 Car. 25 Days. 11 States. 4275 Miles.

After spending three beautiful days in the Windy City, Chicago, we started what is probably considered the world’s greatest road trip. Road 66 – The Mother Road – is the embodiment of the American Dream. When it opened in 1926, the highway became a metaphor for freedom and promoted the belief that anything was possible beyond the horizon.

  1. Nice post. Route 66 is on my bucket list of things to do. So, I’m curious if you planned your trip for that amount of time or is that just about the time it took you to drive it. Just trying to gauge if that is about the normal time it would take. Enjoyed the photos too – made me even more excited to drive it some day. Thanks for sharing

    1. Thank you! We had that amount of time to spend in USA and we also visited the national parks and we spent some days in California. Route66 can be done even in 2 weeks, but if you have more time, the journey it’s definitely more relaxing and enjoyable.
